The Lagoon 42 is frequently used for extended cruising throughout Southeast Asia, making it a common candidate for owner relocations between Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Before departure we pay particular attention to engine servicing, sail inventory, steering systems and the condition of the standing rigging, as these are all items that become more difficult to address once the yacht is committed to an offshore passage.
Many Lagoon deliveries involve several consecutive days at sea, so provisioning and spare parts are planned accordingly. Routine service items such as filters, engine belts, impellers and spare fluids are reviewed before departure, reducing the likelihood of avoidable delays while transiting more remote parts of the region.
The Lagoon 42’s moderate draft also provides greater flexibility when operating throughout Southeast Asia, allowing access to many anchorages and marinas that are less suitable for deeper-draft cruising yachts. That versatility has made it one of the most common production catamarans found cruising the region.
